We offer a high quality and comprehensive Bespoke Framing service, and have been trained to the highest standard by an accredited trainer of the Fine Art Trade Guild. We have gained a reputation for excellent customer service working predominantly with individuals, and also businesses. We also work with schools and undertake insurance and restoration work. We regularly frame the following;
We have examples of work in our onsite workshop. Turn-around time is approximately ten days, depending on complexity. We can also offer an ‘express’ turn around time for those needing to meet a deadline.
Bespoke framing is by far the best way to preserve those special pieces of artwork or memorabilia. All our framing is reversible should the customer ever need to remove their artwork.
Our aim is to ensure the customer’s artwork reaches its full potential with our comprehensive advice, innovative design and framing. Our key focus is to provide a sympathetic, appropriate and long lasting framing solution for customers’ precious work.
We are keen to identify from the customer why their artwork is important to them. This helps us to offer a range of solutions which is in keeping with the piece, its sentiment and emotional attachment so often evident.
Choosing the right frame is definitely a collaborative process between the framer and customer. This consultation is a key part of the process and should not be rushed.
We have examples of work in our onsite workshop.
We source the finest mouldings available, predominantly from Spain and Italy, and have over 500 to choose from. We have an extensive range of mount board and colours, including conservation standard, from leading suppliers to both enhance and protect the artwork.
We use as a minimum ph neutral acid free mount boards and tapes to conservation standard and similar quality of frame backings. This “acid free” quality ensures protection to artwork for many years. We can also advise on different types of glass to ensure that the artwork is presented to best effect in different environments.
Tiny insects, such as ‘thunder bugs’ can crawl inside picture frames. Not only are they unsightly, they can cause damage to the image if left to deteriorate.
Because we care about what we do, here at Spectrum all pictures framed by us are ‘double sealed’ inside the frame to overcome this problem.
We are happy to remove thunder bugs from old work and reseal to avoid further contamination. Equally we will replace glass and mounts in existing frames where required.
We are able to assist in taking our framing and gallery service into customers’ homes. This allows us to offer our expert and independent advice “on site” in the selection of artwork and framing, and subsequent placing of images to show them off to best effect.
